The Rest of the Story

I am sitting here re-reading my last blog and realized that my thoughts on recycling matter is but half of the story. So, Like Paul Harvey would say,” And now for the rest of the story.”
It took me awhile to come to terms with the idea that we are more than this physical presence we refer to “us”. Our scientific, religious and educational systems really don’t paint us a true enough picture as to whom and what we really are. That we are a spirit clothed in a physical body and not the other way around. That the cells that compose our bodies are made of star stuff as the late Carl Sagan stated both in his book and PBS series, Cosmos. It took the work of Max Planck, an early twentieth scientist to bring this realization home to me.

Again due to my early exposure to the martial arts I learned terms such as energy fields, meridian and ganglia. Not unlike the electrical magnetic fields I taught as an Instructor at our local community college.

Body energy fields are similar to those of electrical magnetic fields. Instead of running through wires the ganglia in the body are part of the nervous system while body energy, not having a botanical presence, run through energy fields known as meridians. In electricity electrical wires meet at point referred to as junction boxes while the nerves of the body meet at junctions known as ganglia or nerve bundles.

In my early MA training they were referred to as ganglia and were useful to either heal or destroy a person, while in body energy fields are similar to the earth’s isobars. In the spiritual body however energy centers are known as chakras. But, maybe I’m drifting too far a field from my main point of recycling. And then again maybe not too far a field for our bodies is divided into three main groups. We have our physical bodies, which was the key point in my last blog, our energy bodies talked about above and our spiritual bodies.

Very much like our physical bodies go through a process of recycling so does our spiritual bodies, the sole, at transition commonly referred to as death, returns to its source. Unlike the body that decomposes and returns to its natural, material state, an element. At this point the elements that were once a part of us is now free to be recycled into a new form which could be anything found on earth at the present moment. On the other hand our soles retain their identity of character and personality.

Our spiritual bodies then go through a similar process as did our physical forms. Unlike our physical bodies our spiritual form are recycled in a much different way. All contamination, tarnishing and corrosion gathered from our experiences in a physical form are removed and our sole goes through a restructuring and purifying process in preparation for a possible re-entry (recycle) into the world of matter.
